Redbank Plains is often described as a working-class suburb with modest housing and lifestyle. Today, we look at how Vape Station CEO Lee Scothern came about his concept of Vape Station and why he chose to open it in Redbank Plains.
Born and raised in Rotherham, England, out of anywhere in the world, Lee decided to open his dream business in Redbank Plains. A few years back, Lee was driving trucks when he first discovered Vaping. He found it a healthier alternative to Smoking.
Lee had a lot of mates who were smoking too, and he was convincing them to get off smoking by suggesting Vaping as an alternate. As he lived around the Redbank Plains area, he saw not only his friends in the driving industry, but many people from several other professions were also smoking.
Lee believed in the idea of Quitting Smoking and he wanted to help people around him to do the same. So, seeing a proper need in the place he lived, he decided to open Vape Station in 2018. In just 4 years, he has started making his own eLiquids (with more than 60 flavors) and expanded to 10 outlets across Queensland.
When asked about what changes he has seen in Redbank Plains area in the past 4 years, Lee says:
"The suburb has expanded massively, and has gotten busier. I have also noticed a lot more people have quit smoking, and chosen vaping as an alternative. For this reason, the locality is more cleaner as you don't see leftover cigarettes lying around. I have also heard people say they feel a lot healthier after quitting smoking. So, I believe Vape Station has definitely made a bit of difference in Redbank Plains and to the community here."
Vape Station sells all kind of vape accessories from eLiquids to coils, tanks, mods, kits, batteries, chargers, and more - prioritizing on quality and customer service which Lee believes is a core to any business.
